Description:
This is a good quality antique English George V round oak table, with a revolving / metamorphic drop-leaf mechanism, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. The oak tripod table is constructed with a circular top, with three drop-leaf sections, decorated with 17th century style carvings. The top can be set to either have the leaves raised or lowered, simply by turning the whole top through 45 degrees. The top retains the original rotating mechanism. Below, is a straight, scribe moulded frieze, connected to barley twist legs, which features geometric carved blocks to the top and bottom. Towards the bottom of the oak table, the legs are united by a triangular shelf, with moulded sides. The oak circular table rests on bobbin turned feet. Ideal for use an occasional side or lamp table in a hallway or living room. The round oak table is solid in joint and ready to use.
The round oak table boasts a lovely rich brown oak colour. The revolving table has been cleaned and wax-polished to a professional standard in our workshop, the colour and patination is of an excellent standard, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This is a good quality antique English George V round oak table, with a revolving / metamorphic drop-leaf mechanism, circa 1920, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The top rotating mechanism is original, as are all parts to the table. The frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. The revolving circular table has been cleaned and wax-polished to a professional standard in our workshop. The colour and patination are of an excellent standard, along with the years of care and cleaning it has received. This oak tripod table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
