Here is an example of a superb set of 8 antique French carved oak rush seated ladder back dining chairs, circa 1910 – 1920. This set of chairs boasts a rich light oak colour. The drops in rush seats are in excellent condition. The set features six single chairs and two armchairs. The shaped backs are carved with floral patterns likewise the front of the seat frame is caved. The front legs have a very pretty cabriole design. Underneath, the chairs are connected with four stretchers to ensure they are sturdy. The backs of the legs are shaped which is a sign of good quality. The chairs are firm and would look good anywhere especially as they are comfortable and consume little space.
