Here is a fine quality antique English George III mahogany side table, circa 1790, displaying a lovely golden colour, in good original condition. This Georgian mahogany side table boasts a two-plank top with a simple edge, above a single flush working drawer. The drawer boasts the original swan neck brass handles & escutcheons and is decorated with a narrow, stained ebony string inlay to the drawer front. The pine-lined drawer is constructed with primitive hand dovetail joints, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. Below the drawer, the table features a straight apron with a bead moulded frieze. The table is raised on four straight, tapering block legs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
This Georgian mahogany side table features a lovely mellow oak colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway, or useful as a writing table. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, top and inside of drawer, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer boasts the original swan neck brass handles & escutcheons. The drawer retains the original working lock (with key). The frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner. The table has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
