Three-Door Wardrobe Description:
The three-door wardrobe boasts a breakfront design, displaying lovely mirror matched walnut timbers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and original wooden handles. The left and right-hand doors feature the original working locks, with a working key, while the centre door retains its original working latches. The doors open to reveal a hanging compartment to the left-hand side, with a shelf above. The hanging rail retains twelve adjustable metal sliding hooks. At the bottom is an angled shoe rack. Mounted at the back of the hanging compartment is a labelled camphor holder, where bundles of cotton wool containing a solution of camphor oil can be placed, to ward-off clothes’ moths. The inside of the left-hand door retains the original full-length mirror. The interior of right-hand side of the wardrobe comprises six hinged glass fronted compartments all retaining the original glass fronts and Bakelite door knobs, with a storage shelf above and below. Further below are three large drawers; retaining the original metal Art Deco handles, all constructed with mahogany drawer linings and hand-dovetailed joints. The three-door wardrobe can be dismantled into four sections (plinth, hanging compartment & right-hand section and cornice) for easier access into the bedroom – see photos for dismantled image.
Two-Door Wardrobe Description:
The two-door wardrobe echoes the exterior breakfront design of the larger wardrobe, boasting lovely mirror matched walnut timbers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and original wooden handles. The left-hand door features the original latches, while the right-hand door retains the original working lock, with a working key. The doors open to reveal a hanging rail with six adjustable hooks and an angled shoe rack below. To the rear of the hanging space is a labelled holder for camphor, for repelling clothes moths. A mirror is also present to the inside of the left-hand door. The right-hand side of the interior comprises an open compartment at the top, with three hinged glass fronted compartments all retaining the original glass fronts and Bakelite door knobs, with a storage shelf above and below. Further below are three large drawers; retaining the original metal Art Deco handles, all constructed with mahogany drawer linings and hand-dovetailed joints. To the inside of the right-hand door is a hanging rail. The wardrobe sits on a recessed moulded plinth. Because the wardrobe has a narrow width, it is ideal for smaller rooms, as it consumes less space. The wardrobe can be dismantled into three sections (left-hand section, right-hand section & plinth) for easier access into the bedroom – please see photo for dismantled image.
Dressing Table Description:
The dressing table boasts a large circular adjustable mirror, flanked by a cloud-shaped upstand, with a sunken bow fronted central mirrored-well and bow fronted drawer and arched back panel. The dressing table features cupboards either side, which open to reveal three drawers, retaining the original metal Art Deco handles, all constructed with mahogany drawer linings and hand-dovetailed joints.
