Description:
This is a good quality English Art Deco dining table, constructed from fine figured walnut timbers, with an adjustable length between 6ft 3” to 8ft, seating up to 8 people, circa 1930 – 1940, with ebonised detail, in excellent original condition. The walnut dining table boasts a stunning top, decorated with book marked walnut timbers, in a triangular format on the stylish octagonal ends. The Art Deco dining table top benefits from ebonised painted string detail, along with walnut banding to the perimeter. Below the table features a lovely figured walnut skirt, again finished with ebonised string detail. The Art Deco dining table extends by pulling apart the table top to allow space to install the original leaf, which increases the table length from 6ft 3” to 8ft to comfortably allow space for up to 8 large dining chairs around the dining table. The table top is raised on four elegant octagonal tapering legs, which terminate on ebonised octagonal spade feet. This walnut dining table boasts classic Art Deco styling; this is evident in the curved corners and clean lines. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.
This Art Deco dining table boasts a classic mellow walnut colour; this can only be achieved through age and the years of care and cleaning it has received. This extending dinging table is an excellent investment and would look superb in either a traditional or contemporary setting. It would certainly grace any home. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
