Description:

This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco two door wardrobe, circa 1930, featuring stunning figured walnut doors, in excellent original condition.  The two-door Art Deco two door wardrobe boasts stunning mirror matched figured walnut timbers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and brass and wooden vertical handles, with a central vertical concave channel.  The right-hand door retains the original working lock, with a working key.  All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition.  The doors open to reveal the original hanging rails; a tall one on the left and a shorter one on the right-hand side.  Above the right-hand hanging rail is a useful storage shelf.  This Art Deco two wardrobe sits on the original elegant splayed plinth, terminating on subtle bracket feet.  This is a two-piece Art Deco two wardrobe, which splits into two central sections, for easy access up a staircase and into the bedroom. This Art Deco two wardrobe boasts a lovely rich colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco two door wardrobe, circa 1930, featuring stunning figured walnut doors, in excellent original condition.  The Art Deco two wardrobe has been cleaned and wax-polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the patination and colour of an excellent standard.  Nominal old use marks to the leading external edges, sides and interior, but nothing significant considering the age of the item.  All internal door locking catches are present and in good working condition.  The door lock is original and in working condition, with a working key.  The chrome hanging rails are intact and in excellent condition.  Importantly, there are no splits to the doors and they close flush to the frame.  The interior is clean and the wardrobe is solid in joint and ready to use.
