Here is a fine quality antique English George III oak side table, circa 1800, in good original condition. The table comprises a three plank oak top with a single working drawer; decorated with cock beading and a Regency influenced mahogany escutcheon and the original working lever lock (with key). The drawer retains its original brass swan neck handles and original brass back plates. The drawer is constructed of pine and is hand dovetailed, with the original backboards. The table is decorated with elegant spandrels, which sit below the drawer and connect to the inside of the legs. The table is raised on fine tapering square legs. The table boasts a stunning mellow colour and lovely medullary rays are prominent in the oak.
This item features a mellow oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The drawer features the original hand dovetailed drawer lining, with the original working lever lock (and key) and the original brass swan neck handles and brass back plates. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination.
