Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian style oak provincial side table, which has been constructed in the Victorian period, circa 1860, displaying a lovely rich colour and patination, in excellent original condition. The table incorporates a twin-plank moulded top above a single drawer. The drawer features the original brass pear drop handles on circular escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with butt joints, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. Below, the table is raised on simple turned baluster legs, which are united by stretchers, giving the item additional strength. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional method.
This item features a lovely rich dark brown oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
