Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian mahogany stool, with a newly upholstered shaped seat, incorporating a storage area, circa 1820, in excellent condition. It started life out as a commode, but has been converted into a stool. The Georgian mahogany stool comprises a mahogany box frame and is raised on four sturdy ring-turned legs. The Georgian stool features a newly upholstered shaped drop-in seat, which is removable, to expose a useful storage box inside – ideal for storing magazines, TV remote controls, make-up or general tidy box! The seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality blue velvet upholstery, with matching braiding underneath. The centre of the seat incorporates a single button. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won’t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can re-cover the seat in a fabric of your choice for £30 labour.
This Georgian mahogany stool boasts a rich brown mahogany finish. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian mahogany stool, with a newly upholstered shaped seat, incorporating a storage area, circa 1820, in excellent condition. The seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality blue velvet upholstery, with matching braiding underneath. The top is lined in matching blue glazed cotton with braiding. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won’t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. The upholstery is therefore new, clean and free from any wear, dirt or damage. The mahogany frame has been cleaned and wax-polished to a professional standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the mahogany frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The internal compartment is dry and clean. There are no breaks to the legs or frame The Georgian mahogany stool is solid in joint and ready to use.
