Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English George III oak side table, circa 1790, in good original condition, with delightful small proportions. The table comprises a two plank oak top with a single working drawer; decorated with a finely moulded edge and a single brass knob. The drawer is pine lined and hand dovetailed, with the original backboards. The frieze is decorated with elegant spandrels, which sit below the drawer and support the inside of the legs. The table is raised on simple tapering square legs. The table has been made using the traditional wooden peg construction and would have been designed for a country dwelling.

This item features a lovely mellow oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the dining room, living room or the hallway. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
