This is a fine quality antique English Regency mahogany Canterbury, circa 1830, in good original condition. The Canterbury is divided into three compartments, by four panels with simple slatted uprights. The compartments are ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or music sheets. All four corners boast ring turned supports, above four finely turned finials, which terminate on the original ring turned feet and original brass castors. The Canterbury reflects a simple but refined style, typical of the Regency period; it has been constructed from the finest mahogany timbers.
The Canterbury features a gorgeous mellow brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
