Description:

This is a fine quality pair of Art Deco bedside cupboards, constructed from stunning figured walnut, with a bow front, comprising three internal drawers, circa 1935, in excellent condition.  The Art Deco bedsides tables boast a lovely bow fronted design, with moulded tools.  Incorporating stunning mirror matched figured walnut veneers on a solid frame, specifically the doors, they open to reveal three working drawer slides, with shaped drawer linings.  The drawers are well constructed with fine dovetail joints, run smoothly and close flush to the frame.  The doors retain their original wooden door knob, with the original working sprung closure latches.  The Art Deco bedside cupboards have been French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore they are in excellent condition.   The bedside tables are raised on their original plinth, with shallow bracket feet.  These bedsides boast classic Art Deco styling throughout; this is visible in the rounded corners and clean lines.

The Art Deco bedside cupboards boast a rich walnut colour.  They have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

Condition Report:

This is a fine quality pair of Art Deco bedside cupboards, constructed from stunning figured walnut, with a bow front, comprising three internal drawers, circa 1935, in excellent condition.    They are pedestals from an Art Deco dressing table, which have been adapted into bedside chests. The Art Deco bedside chests have been French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore they are in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and sides, but nothing significant considering the age of them. The bedside doors feature lovely mirror matched figured walnut veneers, boasting a rich walnut colour, which are all in excellent condition.  The three internal drawers close flush to the frame and retain the original door knobs, along with the original working door spring loaded door closures.  These Art Deco tables are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
