Description:

This is a good quality vintage pair of French bedside cabinets, constructed from solid cherry wood, in the Louis XVI style, circa 1960, in excellent original condition.  Constructed with elegant shaped boarded tops with a serpentine front, the cherry wood bedside tables comprise three working moulded drawers, retaining the original brass floral handles.  The drawers are chestnut lined and constructed with sturdy butt-joints.  Below, sits a shaped & moulded frieze, edged with a central floral cartouche.  The corners display chamfered bead-moulded detail.  The sides of the French bedside cabinets are constructed with elegant inset panels, also displaying a shaped frieze.  The French bedside tables stand on elegant cabriole legs, terminating on scroll toes.

The French bedside cabinets are in excellent condition, having been cleaned and French polished by hand in our workshop; along with years of cleaning and care they have received.  These bedsides tables boast the classic French chateau styling that you see in furniture of this design.

The French bedside cabinets would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, as bedside tables, or in the living room as side tables.  They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional.  So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:

This is a good quality vintage pair of French bedside cabinets, constructed from solid cherry wood, in the Louis XVI style, circa 1960, in excellent original condition.  The bedside tables have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop.  Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item.  The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame.  The metal hands are in excellent original condition.  The French bedsides stand firm on the ground and do not wobble.  They are solid in joint and ready to use.
