Description:

This is a fine quality pair of antique English late Victorian mahogany bedside tables, circa 1900, in excellent condition.  They are pedestals from a Victorian dressing table, which have been adapted into bedside chests.  Each mahogany bedside table features elegant moulded rectangular tops; this design is also reflected in the plinths.  The mahogany bedside tables boast four graduated drawers, constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and mahogany drawer linings.  The drawer fronts are decorated with a moulded frame and retain the origin cast brass drop handles.  The mahogany bedside tables stand on their top-quality rectangular mahogany plinths.  The chests are constructed of top-quality mahogany timber imported from the colonies during the Victorian period.  The quality is reflected in the weight of these bedsides; they are heavy to lift!  Ideal for use in the bedroom as bedsides or lamp tables in the living room.  The Victorian nightstand chests boasts a rich brown mahogany colour, having been cleaned and French polished by hand in our workshop.

This is a fine quality pair of antique English late Victorian mahogany bedside tables, circa 1900, in excellent condition.  They are pedestals from a Victorian dressing table, which have been adapted into bedside chests.  These mahogany bedside tables have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. There are no cup marks to the tops of the bedsides.  Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and inside the cupboards, but nothing significant considering the age of the item.  The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame.  These mahogany bedside tables are constructed from top-quality solid mahogany; which gives a superb colour and patination. The quality is reflected in the weight of these bedside chests; they are heavy to lift!  They are solid in joint and ready to use.  The drawer interiors are dry and clean. These mahogany bedside tables are solid in joint, they do not wobble and are ready to use.
