Here is a fine quality antique English Regency style mahogany side table, circa 1910, which has been constructed in the Edwardian period and is in good original condition. The table has been constructed with a refined design; it benefits from a lovely single-plank top (sign of quality), finished with thumb moulding. Below, there is a full-length single working drawer, displaying cock beading to the drawer front and the original brass drop handles and escutcheons. The mahogany lined drawer features lovely fine hand dovetailed joints and boasts quarter-beaded construction (a further sign of quality). The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four simple tapering legs, terminating on spade feet.
This item features a warm brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer front and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains its original brass handles and escutcheons. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
