Description

This is a fine quality antique English Victorian gilt mirror, with a carved gilded frame, designed to hang above a fire place / mantlepiece, circa 1860, in good original condition.  The Victorian antique wall mirror retains its original glass, within an arched top, decorated with stunning floral gesso carved wooden frame.  The gilt mirror retains its original white porcelain mug but pads.  The antique wall mirror also retains its original pine backboards and side fixing wall plates.  The Victorian mirror measures 2ft 11½” by 3ft 2½” wide.

This antique wall mirror would look superb in the living room above a fireplace / mantlepiece, as it is well proportioned and of excellent quality. Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique English Victorian gilt mirror, with a carved gilded frame, designed to hang above a fire place / mantlepiece, circa 1860, in good original condition.  The frame, the carvings are all original and in excellent condition.  Original finish to the gilt frame.  Original porcelain mug pads under the mirror.  Nominal old use marks, to the leading edges of the frame, but nothing significant, given the age of the item.  The gilt mirror retains its original glass, with minor signs of foxing and some old use marks (please see photos) and we think it is perfectly acceptable given its age, and that fact that it is the original glass.  This antique wall mirror is ready to be used.
