Here is a lovely antique English early Victorian figured mahogany circular occasional table, circa 1840, in good original condition. The table features a veneered mahogany top, with a figured mahogany veneered frieze, column and base. The table is raised on an octagonal tapered turned column, which is secured at the bottom to a large mouded circular tripod base, terminating on three small scroll toes. The table stands relatively low in height, therefore it would be ideal as a side table near seating. The table is solid in joint and ready to use. This table is completely original (i.e. the top and the base are not a marriage) and has a lovely original mellow colour and patination. It would be ideal as a side, lamp or wine table in any room in the house.
This truly is a very beautiful item with quality construction and is original throughout. This item would certainly grace any home. So don’t miss out on your chance to own such a lovely antique item.
This table features a rich brown flame mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and the years of care and cleaning it has received.
This table is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. The top and base are original to each other. The table sits on its original scroll toes. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
