Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany desk chair, circa 1890, which has newly upholstered in green leather, and is in excellent condition. The Victorian mahogany office chair boasts an elegant curved back, finished with deep buttoning, secured to vertical & horizontal moulded bark supports, flanked by small ring-turned spindles, with block moulded arm ends above larger turned spindles. The buttoned stuff-over seat has been newly sprung and webbed to ensure that the seat is supportive and extremely comfortable to sit on. The upholstery incorporates traditional horsehair fillings. The underside of the Victorian mahogany desk chair seat has been finished with traditional hessian. The bow-fronted seat is finished with brass studwork to its perimeter. The Victorian mahogany desk chair stands on elegant ring-turned tapering legs to the front, with splayed legs to the rear, and terminates on English made brass & porcelain castors.
There is a lovely rich colour and patination to the mahogany frame; having been cleaned and French polished by hand to a professional standard, in our workshop; along with the years of care it has have received.

This is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany desk chair, circa 1890, which has newly upholstered in green leather, and is in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the oak frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair has been newly upholstered in top quality full-grain dark green leather. Therefore, the leather is in excellent condition, with no signs of wear and tear, damage or holes etc. The chair frame incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the sprung seat perimeter and hessian to the underside. The chair frame boasts a rich dark red-brown colour, having been cleaned and French polished in our workshop, to a professional standard. The chair legs incorporate English made brass & porcelain castors, which are in excellent condition. This Victorian mahogany desk chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
