The front of the Canterbury is decorated with an elegant carved scroll panel, divided into three compartments, by four pierced shaped dividers, which reflect the shape of the front panel. The divides are secured by finely turned horizontal bars. The compartments are ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or music sheets. Below is a moulded base, with a drawer below, which retains the original turned mahogany knobs and is mahogany lined, constructed with hand-dovetailed joints. The Canterbury is raised on baluster shaped ring turned reeded legs which stands on brass castor collars and wheels. The Canterbury has been constructed from the finest mahogany timbers.
