Here is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany rectangular wall mirror, circa 1870, in good condition. A finely carved pediment, incorporating a French rocaille (shell motif), on a finely studded arabesque background, flanked by floral carvings, on an elegant moulded rectangular mahogany frame surmounts the mirror. The back of the mirror retains its original backboards, with a replacement metal hanging chain. This mirror has been adapted from a Victorian dressing table some time ago. The item retains its original glass, which is in good condition, free from foxing, but with a very small scratch on the left hand side (see photo), which is difficult to see. The frame boasts lovely narrow proportions.

This beautiful piece boasts a rich brown mahogany colour. As its boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The mirror is a good practical piece of furniture, it’s not too large and not too small, and therefore, it can be used in most locations. The mirror would look superb in several rooms from the hallway to the bedroom. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
