Description:
This is a fine quality English antique Victorian set of 2 dining chairs, constructed of solid mahogany, with a “balloon” back design, circa 1860, which have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in excellent original condition. Ideal for use in the dining room, office, or bedroom. This pair of Victorian chairs are designed with an attractive “balloon” shaped back and a shaped central horizontal splat. This set of 2 dining chairs feature drop-in seats, which have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality taupe & red floral pattern structured chenille, are finished with hessian to the undersides. If you do not like the colour / style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice (we charge £25 labour per seat). The chair frames, which have been cleaned and French polished, to a professional standard, boast a rich colour. This set of 2 dining chairs are constructed using the traditional “bolt-back” method. The pair of chairs stand on ring turned front legs, sabre rear legs and the seat frame boast an elegant moulded serpentine shaped front rail.
This set of 2 dining chairs retain the original patination; therefore, they boast a fantastic depth of rich colour, displaying a lovely red and brown mahogany colour. This colour and patination can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.

This is a fine quality English antique Victorian set of 2 dining chairs, constructed of solid mahogany, with a “balloon” back design, circa 1860, which have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chairs but nothing significant considering the age of the chairs. The chairs have been tightened and professionally French polished in our workshop to a high standard. The drop-in seats have been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality taupe & red floral pattern structured chenille, are finished with hessian to the undersides. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour/style of the upholstery, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice. The chair frames and joints are all in excellent condition, solid in joint and are ready to be used.
