The Canterbury is divided into three compartments, by two rows of delicate turned spindles, each topped with a horizontal bar. The compartments are ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or music sheets. Below is a drawer, decorated with satinwood string inlay and which retains its original turned wooden knobs. The drawer is mahogany lined and constructed with hand dovetailing. The Canterbury is raised on its original bulbous turned legs which retain the original brass castor collars and wheels.
