Description:
This is a fine quality antique English William IV mahogany centre table, with a pedestal tri-form base, circa 1835, boasting a stunning colour, in excellent original condition. This round pedestal table boasts a solid mahogany top, with a stunning colour, a thumb moulded edge and frieze. The table top is designed with hinged brass thumb screws which secure it to the pedestal base. This allows the top to be lifted vertically, for storage purposes. The table retains its original working brassware, which consists of a sprung locking mechanism, operating a double latch on the underside of the table. The William IV mahogany centre table is designed with an octagonal tapering central pedestal, which terminates on moulded collar and tri-form base. The table rests on its original scroll carved feet, which retain the original brass and porcelain castors.
This table is well-constructed, solid in joint and ready to use. Ideal for use as a decorative centre / occasional table in a hallway, or as a small dining table. The table can comfortably accommodate four dining chairs and is sufficiently tall enough to comfortably fit your legs underneath. It is also wide enough to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table.
The William IV mahogany centre table boasts a rich brown mahogany colour. It has good colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional. So, don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
