Here is a good quality antique solid oak 6ft 6⅝”refectory table, circa 1900, from the Basque region of northern Spain, in good original condition. The chunky tabletop, which is constructed of solid oak, has been built using the traditional peg and joined construction method and consists 6 solid planks within a sectional boarded frame. The table is supported by elegant lyre end legs, which are united by a central stretcher, secured into position with large vertical pegs. The tabletop and base are original. The tabletop features a lovely mellow bleached oak colour, with a scrub top style finish. The table will seat up to 8 people. It is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table.

Condition Report:
This table is in good original condition, constructed of solid oak. Nominal old use marks to the top and leading edges of the frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The table feature a lovely bleached oak colour, in a scrub top style, and as such it is advised that tablemats and drinks coasters should be used on the tabletop to avoid marking the surface. This table is heavy, which is always a sign of good quality! This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
