The couch is constructed of solid walnut and features a stunning quality frame with a high shaped back, secured by down swept scroll arms, incorporating acanthus leaf carvings, on turned supports. The couch has been newly upholstered in top quality luxurious Jim Dickens Arundel Russett floral fabric. The primary colour of the fabric is gold, the secondary colour is terracotta and the tertiary colour is green. The upholstery is finished with fine quality matching braiding. The couch stands on its original bobbin turned legs, united by twin sets of turned stretchers for added strength. The seat is firmly sprung so that you do not sink into the seat, but at the same time is extremely comfortable. The underside of the seat is finished with traditional hessian backing.

This couch features a rich dark, brown walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. It is impossible to re-create this colour if it has been re-polished.
