Description:
Here is a fine quality antique Regency folding mahogany inlaid duet music stand, in good condition. The music stand features twin book rest panels, boasting satinwood string inlay, lattice work struts and brass page holders. The book rests fold out to support papers on either side. The stand is designed to allow two musicians to play a duet. The fold-out book rests are held in place by a support that swings on the central column. The panels fold flat for storage and transportation. Below, the stand features a turned column support, which exhibits satinwood string inlay and includes a notched brass height adjustment mechanism. The height can be adjusted by holding down a lever on the side of the column; releasing the lever will cause the mechanism to lock again, once it has been lined up on another notch. The stand rests on four splayed legs, which feature further string inlay.

The music stand exhibits a rich brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This music stand would compliment any home, especially the office or study. It would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
