Description:
This is a lovely pair of antique English Edwardian burr walnut bedside chests, circa 1910, in good condition. Incorporating attractive burr walnut veneers to the top, drawers and plinths on solid walnut frame, the bedsides boast elegant thumb moulded rectangular tops, with this design also reflected in the plinths. The bedsides each have four graduated working drawers, constructed with hand-dovetailed joints, pine drawer linings and the original knobs. The bedsides stand on their moulded burr walnut veneered plinths.

The bedsides feature a rich brown walnut colour. They have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

These chests would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the bedroom. These chests would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are extremely functional. So don’t miss out on your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:
These bedside chests are in good condition having been polished in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no cup marks to the tops of the bedsides. Please note, any colour variation to the tops of the bedsides is due to the natural variation in the grain configuration and patination; this is not a defect or marks to the polish – this is entirely natural. The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame. All drawers retain their original knobs. These bedsides incorporate quality burr walnut veneers; a wood which gives a superb colour and patination. They are solid in joint and ready to use.
