Here is a very good quality antique and completely original George III carved tilt top bird cage tripod table, circa 1740. The top is constructed of a single piece of red walnut which is a sign of good quality. There are also floral carvings to the knees of the legs. The tilt top table has the original working hinge and brass locking mechanism – the top locks into the brass locking mechanism. The table is constructed of solid red walnut. The table features a well shaped ring turned pedestal terminating in lovely umbrella shaped legs with the original pad feet. This table is completely original without any breaks or damage and has fantastic colour / patination.
The table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room, dining room or hall way. The table would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

This table is completely original and is in very good condition commensurate with its age. The top is constructed of a single piece of red walnut which is a sign of good quality. The top and base is completely original. The working hinges and brass locking mechanism are original. There are no breaks to the stem or legs. Nominal old use marks but nothing significant considering the age of the item – there is a mark in the shape of a hair clip on the top. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.
