Here is a stunning quality antique Scottish Art Deco burr walnut two-door wardrobe by A & W Stewart, Glasgow, Scotland, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The two-door wardrobe boasts stunning mirror matched burr walnut veneers, along with elegant curved corners and edges and original vertical stepped metal and burr walnut effect handles. The right-hand door features the original working lock, with a working key and push-button latch. All internal locking catches are present and in good working condition. The doors open to reveal a single shelf compartment to the top right-hand side, below which is a hanging rail, with three hanging hooks. The left-hand side also features a hanging rail with a further three hanging hooks. Additionally, the back of the interior includes another four hanging hooks. The internal frame displays a label inscribed “A. & W. Stewart Cabinet Makers & Upholsterers, 41, 51, Bell Street, City, Glasgow”. The wardrobe sits on the original curved bracket feet.

The wardrobe features a mellow burr walnut colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a lovely colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
