This fine quality bedside cupboard constructed of solid mahogany has a working door with an internal removable shelf, circa 1860 – 1880. The bedsides cupboards boast a traditional rectangular cornered edging which is mirrored in the supporting plinth. The bedside also features a “splash back” at the back of the bedsides on the top. The door features twin corbelling and carved rosettes around the carved door panel. The backs of the bedsides also feature mahogany back boards. This bedside cupboard is constructed of top quality solid mahogany timber. During this period, England was imported top quality timber from the colonies.
