Below the mirror there is a central large drawer, ideal for storing makeup or jewellery. A bank of three drawers, all featuring their original knobs, flanks the central compartment. All drawers are working and close flush to the frame and boast the original knobs. Further below, is a lovely shaped dressing table base; constructed with a stepped design, finished with a fine moulding. The base features a central cushion fronted drawer, again incorporating the original drawer knobs. The dressing table stands on sturdy pronounced cabriole front legs that terminated on finely carved scroll toes. Vertical supports secure the rear of the dressing table. Underneath, the dressing table there is a shaped footboard. All in all, this is a stunning dressing table with a superb colour and patination. The dressing table dismantles into two sections for easy transportation.
