Description:
This is a fine quality English Georgian Regency style mahogany pair of side tables, with flame mahogany & boxwood inlaid detail, circa 1980, by Charles Barr, in excellent original condition. The pair of Regency mahogany tables are decorated with elegant flame mahogany tops, set within cross-banding and boxwood string inlay border. The box frieze has been designed with canted corners and mouldings, featuring a single working drawer to each table. The flame mahogany drawer is decorated with a Georgian style brass swan neck handle and backplate on cock-beaded drawer front. The drawer frames are constructed with oak dovetailed drawer linings and mahogany drawer bottoms, retaining the cabinetmakers’ brass plaque. The pair of side tables are designed to be free-standing, with a “dummy” drawer front present on the opposite end of the table. The pair of Regency side tables stand on splayed mahogany legs, supported by a central turned stretcher, terminating on solid brass top castors.

Condition Report:
This is a fine quality English Georgian Regency style mahogany pair of side tables, with flame mahogany & boxwood inlaid detail, circa 1980, by Charles Barr, in excellent original condition. They have been cleaned and polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and tops, but nothing significant considering the age of them. They are completely original. The drawers are free running and close flush to the frame. All brassware is present and in excellent condition. The tables are constructed from top quality solid oak mahogany timber. This pair of Georgian tables are solid in joint; they do not wobble and are ready to use.
