Description:
Here is a superb quality antique Queen Anne style carved figured walnut rectangular coffee table, circa 1920, in excellent condition. The top consists of stunning figured mirror matched walnut quarter veneers, flanked by walnut cross banding to the perimeter, on a solid walnut frame and legs. The tabletop features decorative floral carved moulded corners, with a serpentine form, above a shaped cock-beaded frieze. The table is supported by four prominent cabriole legs, which at the knees, feature elegant acanthus leaf carvings on fine scroll toes. This is a well-constructed and solid table; this is evident in the weight of the table itself.

This coffee table boasts a rich brown walnut colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This coffee table is in excellent condition, having been French polished in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There is a lovely rich colour and patination to the figured walnut top and frame. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The table is constructed with top quality materials and construction methods. The top is constructed from a solid walnut frame with a figured walnut veneer and cross-banded top. All of the floral carvings to the mouldings are intact. This is a well-constructed and solid table; this is evident in the weight of the table itself. It is solid in joint (does not wobble) and is ready to use.
