Description:
This is a superb quality Italian Louis XV style 6ft 6” walnut & glass serpentine dining table, circa 1970, displaying colour and detail, which seats 8 persons, and is in excellent original condition. The table comfortably seats 8 persons (see photos). Constructed from top quality walnut, the table features a black serpentine shaped glass top, decorated with scroll painted gilt inlay (under the glass). Encapsulated by a stunning triple moulded walnut frieze, incorporating a shaped frieze, decorated with pierced fretwork cartouches. The table is raised on flamboyant cabriole legs, incorporating cared acanthus leaves to the knees, terminating on scroll toes.

The table boasts a stunning rich walnut colour. It has fantastic original colour and patination this is due to the years of care and cleaning it has received.

This serpentine dining table would look superb in a variety of rooms, including the living room or dining room. Condition Report:
This dining table is excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the walnut frame and glass top, but nothing significant, considering the age of the item. The table has been traditionally French polished in our workshop therefore the colour and form of the table is in excellent condition; the frame is free from any scratches. The table therefore boasts a rich walnut colour and patination. The table has been made from top quality walnut; it is well constructed, solid in join and ready to use.
