Description

This is a good quality pair of vintage French bedside tables, constructed from solid walnut, in the Louis XVI style, circa 1960, in excellent original condition.  Constructed with elegant shaped gallery tops with a serpentine front, the walnut bedside tables comprise three working moulded drawers, retaining the original brass knobs.  The drawers are constructed with butt-joints.  Below, sits a shaped frieze to the front and sides.  The sides of the bedside cabinets feature lovely shaped panel.  The French bedside tables stand on elegant cabriole legs and boast stunning walnut grain configuration.

The French bedside tables are in excellent condition, having been cleaned and French polished by hand in our workshop; along with years of cleaning and care they have received.  These bedsides chests boast the classic French chateau styling that you see in furniture of this period.

The French bedside tables would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, as bedside tables, or in the living room as side tables.  They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment as they are an extremely functional.  So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.

Condition Report:

This is a good quality pair of vintage French bedside tables, constructed from solid walnut, in the Louis XVI style, circa 1960, in excellent original condition.  The bedside tables have been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop.  Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item.  The drawers are smooth running and close flush to the frame.  The brass knobs are original.  The cabinets stand firm on the ground and do not wobble.  They are solid in joint and ready to use.
