Here is a good quality Scandinavian Art Deco style bird’s eye maple tallboy chest of drawers, circa 1980, boasting stunning mirror matched veneers, in excellent original condition. The chest of drawers benefits from eight drawers in a two-over-six design. Featuring a lovely raised top, above 8 drawers in a two-over-six design. The chest boasts a lovely bird’s eye maple detail mirror matched veneers to the top, drawer fronts and even on the back of the chest, which is very rare. The pine lined drawers retain their original circular metal handles and are constructed with dovetail joints. Below, the chest features a “stepped” skyscraper design and stands on its original shaped metal feet. This piece boasts classic art deco styling throughout; this is evident in the overall design of the curved corners, clean lines, the handles, feet and plinth. This is a single piece chest and because of its narrow width, it is ideal for compact rooms, as it consumes very little space.
The item would be at home in any traditional or contemporary setting and consumes very little space. It has a lovely colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

This Art Deco chest of drawers is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chest retains all its original fittings, including the original metal handles and feet. The drawers are constructed with pine linings and dovetail joints and close flush to the frame. The chest retains its original backboards, is solid in joint and ready to use.
