The bookcase features a square moulded top, boasting satinwood foliate inlay, arranged in a ring around a central inlaid flower head, as well as string inlay to the perimeter. Below are four sections of book storage, one for each side of the stand. The shelves and top are supported one a square central support column, as well as straight, simple vertical splats. The bookstand rotates on its original swivel mechanism, which has been serviced and is fully functional. The stand is raised on four splayed mahogany legs, which rest on the original steel castors. The stand is solid in joint and ready to use. Not only is it ideal for storing books but can also be used a side table or coffee table.
