Description:

This is a good quality vintage English Georgian style mahogany and satinwood inlaid dwarf chest of drawers, with small proportions, circa 1950, in excellent original condition. Designed with a straight front, the top is constructed with a mahogany top, decorated with a satinwood inlaid moulding. Below is a bank of four graduated working drawers. The drawers are mahogany lined with dovetailed construction and decorated with their original solid brass swan neck handles & back plates. The top drawer features a working brass lever lock (with key). The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The chest stands on well-shaped mahogany bracket feet. The chest has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a high standard in our workshop, therefore the mellow finish, patination and colour are of a high standard. The chest stands firm on the ground, is solid in joint and ready to use.

Nominal old use marks to the top, leading edges and frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (please see photos). The chest has been cleaned and traditionally French polished by hand to a high standard in our workshop, therefore the mellow finish, patination and colour of a high standard.
