Here is a stunning quality antique Victorian mahogany and ostrich leather revolving office armchair, circa 1870, in excellent original condition. The chair features an elegant curved bar back, which is connected to the scroll with down swept arms. The armchair boasts a black studded ostrich leather seat, which has been finished with hand-tacked studs to the perimeter of the seat area. The design is quite unique with the back featuring a shaped central splat. The seat is connected to the base by four sturdy umbrella shaped legs. The chair revolves 360 degrees and does not tilt. The chair is very comfortable, has a fantastic colour and is in very good condition.

The chair features a rich deep mahogany colour. As its boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Importantly, there are no breaks to the arms or legs. The chair sits on its original brass mug castors. This chair is solid in joint and ready to use.
