Description:

This is a fine quality vintage English Victorian style cast iron welly stand, in the style of the Victorian Rococo period, circa 1960, idea for storing wellies, boots and shoes, incorporating a foot scraper, in excellent original condition.   Constructed of solid cast iron and decorated with floral Rococo cast iron fretwork, this heavy boot stand would look ideal outside the front door or in a porch outside a country house.  The welly stand holds four pairs of riding boots or wellies.  Please note, the angles of the rods can be adjusted by tightening the nuts on the underside of the poles, if you want them to align parallel.  The boot stand incorporates an upper shelf, for storing boots and shoes, supported by shaped pierced corbels.  Further pierced cast iron fretwork panels to the back and floor.  Complete with an arched foot scraper in the centre of the base, ideal for removing mud off wellies!  The welly stand displays a rustic natural finish; allowing it be stored outside.  However, it could be painted if preferred.

Please note, the angles of the rods can be adjusted by tightening the nuts on the underside of the poles, if you want them to align parallel – however, they are shown at different angles to give a more rustic / country look.  The welly stand is well-constructed, heavy, solid in joint and ready to use.
