This is a good quality set of 6 antique oak country farmhouse ladder-back rush seated dining chairs, circa 1920, attributable to the Lancashire region of England. This is an original set and not matched together. The set consists of 6 side chairs. All chairs boast graduated wavy shaped back splats above hand woven rush seated seats. The base of the chairs feature turned legs and beech stretchers all round for strength (twin beech stretchers on the sides). The front stretcher is heavy and turned – a good sign of quality. All chairs are made from top quality oak and are firm in joint and do not wobble. This is a very good value set of 6 ladder-back chairs.
