Here is a fine quality vintage English 17th century style pair of stools, made from solid oak, also known as “joint stools”, constructed circa 1960, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. The pair of pair of stools incorporate single plank overhanging moulded tops, with a moulded and shaped frieze. The pair of stools feature decorative moulded and shaped reeded friezes below. The pair of stools are raised on four protruding bobbin turned legs, which are united by bar stretchers for additional strength, and terminate on block feet. The pair of stools have been made with traditional wooden peg joined construction. The pair of stools have been waxed- polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The pair of stools are solid in joint and ready to use.
This pair of stools feature a lovely rich oak colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning they have received.
This pair of stools would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway, as stools and also as side or lamp tables. There are no breaks to the frames or legs. The pair of oak stools have been made with traditional wooden peg joined construction out of solid oak. The pair of stools have been French polished by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The stools are a true pair, which were constructed together, they have not been matched together. This pair of oak tables are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
