Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English George III solid mahogany side table, circa 1790, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. This Georgian mahogany side table boasts a single-plank top (a sign of quality) with a simple edge, above a single flush working drawer. The drawer boasts the original swan neck brass handle & escutcheons and features a cock beaded front. The ash-lined drawer is constructed with hand dovetail joints, runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. Below the drawer, the table features a straight apron with a moulded frieze. The table is raised on four straight, tapering block legs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. The item is solid in joint and ready to use.
This Georgian mahogany side table features a lovely rich mahogany colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This table is in excellent original condition, considering its age. The table has been French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer boasts the original swan neck brass handle & escutcheons. The frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner. The table has a fantastic rich colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
