Here is a fine quality antique English Art Deco brass plated umbrella stand in the shape of an umbrella, circa 1930, in good condition. The umbrella & stick stand is constructed from brass-plated tin and takes the form of a partially-unfurled umbrella. The item features a curved hook-shaped handle, connected to a straight, central shaft, which is supported by four struts connecting it to the unfurled ‘canopy’. The ‘canopy’ displays braiding detail to its hem, as well as spherical ‘spoke protectors’. The stand is raised on a stepped circular plinth. The item is solid, free-standing and ready to be used. This item features the original plated brass finish.
