Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian Georgian / Sheraton style flame mahogany & string inlaid bow front writing / side table, circa 1910, displaying a lovely rich colour and patination, in excellent condition. The table incorporates a two-plank bow-fronted top with upstand to the rear, decorated with satinwood and ebony string inlay and with a moulded edge, above five drawers. The drawers are decorated with cock beaded, cross banded and string inlaid fronts. The drawer fronts retain the original steel foliate swan neck handles and circular escutcheons.
The drawers are oak lined and constructed with hand dovetail joints and retain the original brass lever locks with working key. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. Below, the table features a cock beaded kneehole apron, and stands on tapering block legs, terminating on spade feet. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional method.
This item features a lovely rich brown colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. It would look superb in a variety of rooms from the office or bedroom. This writing table would grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional.

This Edwardian writing table is in excellent original condition. Some nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer fronts and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawers are in good working order and close flush to the frame. The drawers retain the original steel foliate swan neck handles and circular escutcheons. The drawers retain the original brass lever locks with working key.
