Here is a fine quality antique English late Edwardian solid oak revolving office desk arm chair, circa 1910 – 1920. The armchair features a comfortable curved upholstered bar back, united by wrap around arms, supported by an elegant vertical fan back. The stuff over chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain chestnut brown leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The office chair incorporates a revolving mechanism which rotates 360 degrees, the seat height can be adjusted up or down, along with an adjustable reclining action.
The chair mechanism has been cleaned, restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a thick upholstered seat. The chair sits on four splayed solid oak legs that terminate on top quality replacement English solid brass & mug castors.
The chair features a rich oak colour. It has a lovely colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.

Condition Report:
This antique Edwardian desk chair and mechanism are in excellent condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair frame has been glued to ensure it is solid in joint. The chair features a rich oak colour, having been cleaned and professionally French polished, by hand, in our workshop. The chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain chestnut brown leather, which incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the seat perimeter. Therefore, the leather is in excellent condition, with no wear, fading or damage. The reclining and height adjustable mechanism is in good working order, having just been cleaned, restored and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
