Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian solid oak revolving office armchair, circa 1910, with an upholstered red leather seat, in excellent working condition. The armchair features a comfortable curved bar back, connected to wrap around arms, supported by an elegant vertical fan back. The chair seat has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality full grain red leather, which has been finished with hand-tacked brass studs to the perimeter and traditional hessian webbing to the underside. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The office chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism is in good working order. The chair sits on four splayed solid oak legs that terminate on top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. The chair frame is sturdy and the item is extremely comfortable to sit on, as it features a lovely padded seat.
This Edwardian oak office chair would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home.

Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian solid oak revolving office armchair, circa 1910, with an upholstered red leather seat, in excellent working condition. The desk chair boasts a mellow golden oak colour having been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, along with the and years of care and cleaning it has received. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair seat is upholstered in a good quality full grain red leather, which incorporates the traditional brass studwork tacks to the seat perimeter and traditional hessian webbing to the underside. Therefore, the leather is in good condition, with no damage or holes. The reclining and adjustable height mechanism is in good working order. There is some play to the mechanism but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair. The chair features top quality replacement English made solid brass castors, which are in excellent condition. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
