Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian oak revolving office armchair, circa 1910, in good working original condition. The armchair incorporates a curved bar back, connected to down swept shaped arms, supported by an elegant splayed vertical fan back. The arms and back connect to a shaped, circular solid oak “saddle shaped” seat. The chair sits on four splayed oak legs that terminate on solid brass castors. The chair incorporates a revolving mechanism and it rotates 360 degrees; the seat height can be adjusted by turning a ribbed metal screw on the underside of the chair. The mechanism also features a reclining action, the tension of which can be adjusted by turning a small wheel at the front of the mechanism. The chair mechanism has been restored and serviced and is in excellent working order. The chair is extremely comfortable to sit on as it features a lovely moulded seat.
The armchair features a rich golden brown oak colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms in the home, especially the office or study as it is so comfortable. This item would certainly grace any home. So don’t miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of furniture.
