Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian mahogany bow front side table, constructed in the style of the Regency period, circa 1910, decorated with satinwood inlay, in excellent original condition. The writing table boasts a stunning figured mahogany top, decorated with satinwood, ebony and mahogany cross-banding and a fine mahogany up-stand to the back of the table, to prevent items falling off the back. Below, the two oak lined quarter-beaded drawers have been constructed with hand dovetailed joints. The drawer fronts are decorated with ebony and satinwood inlay and mahogany cross-banding and retain the original brass oval plate handles. The drawers run smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table is raised on four straight tapering block legs which are decorated with satinwood string inlay and terminate on the original brass castors and collars. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. This mahogany side table is solid in joint and ready to use.
This Regency mahogany side table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the office or living room as useful as a writing table or even dressing table in the bedroom. The table would certainly grace any home or office and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional.
