Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Victorian mahogany upholstered rectangular piano duet stool, circa 1880, which has been newly upholstered and is excellent condition. It has been newly upholstered in top quality tan coloured buttoned full grain leather, finished with brass tacks to the perimeter and traditional hessian backing to the underside. The seat itself is firm, which means that you won’t sink into the upholstery, but at the same time, it is very comfortable to sit on. The stool is raised on four pronounced elegant cabriole legs, which boast acanthus leaf carvings to the knees and terminate on ball & claw feet.
This stool features a rich brown mahogany finish. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
